Episode 69 - Joy Taney
SFX arist and Skin Wars: Fresh Paint contestant Joy Taney, aka drag king Henlo Bullfrog, talks about makeup, deciding who to come out to, and divorce. We start to talk about drag frogs, but are sadly cut short.
An Investigative Podcast
My Gay Agenda is a bi-weekly podcast where we interview members of the LGBTQIA community and plan our world domination. CJ Higgins and Jenn Adams are your co-conspirators in plotting whatever it is cisgender heterosexual people think gay people are doing.

Folx, let's pull back the curtain. April Fools' Day is usually our time to interview a cishet person or some other goof like that, but right now everything's bad. So instead, CJ and Jenn copied the format of the podcast "Wonderful!" to talk about the small wonders in our lives, from pride flags to makeup to good snacks.
Peter (he/they) chats with us about the effects of cis/heteronormativity placed on children and their toys, what it means "to queer", and rocking short shorts. Jenn exercises (get it? You'll get it) our alliteration skills.
(Hey everyone, we’re in the middle of social distancing due to the coronavirus, so please stay safe! Wash your hands, stay home if you’re able, check in on your mental health <3)
Jason (he/him) chats with us about his journey to loving men, his title as Mr. Philadelphia Leather 2019, and turning anger into action. Jenn tests us on hankie code. CJ fails miserably.
TABS (she/her) chats with us about butch dyke identity, lesbian/queer bars, and if all British people know John. You know, John? Anyway, Jay flexes their punnery in a game of lesbian bar names.
CJ's youngest brother Nick (he/him) completes the Higgins siblings trifecta series of being on the show. He chats with us about being bisexual, how "coming out" looks today, and flexibility in a very real sense. Jay challenges us to sports trivia. CJ works around some technical difficulties.
Jonathan (he/him) talks about finding the label "gay" during a time that it felt distant, theatre-making as a tool for representation, and his upcoming show WHIRPOOL. CJ and Jenn #Luv2Learn. Check out WHIRLPOOL at Philly Theatre Week! https://www.facebook.com/events/787539788324999/
Tucker (they/them) leads us on a journey primarily about the 2019 film CATS. CJ makes a horrible pun. Jenn shows off their dramaturgy skills.
What a year it's been! We close out 20-Bi-teen with a recap of all our guests' Gay Agenda items from this year, and throw in some resolutions for ourselves.
Emilie (she/her) chats with us about the concept of passing, our history as a queer community, and the Jersey Devil. Jenn asks us which board games are the most gay, in what is perhaps the most challenging game of all time.
Cori (they/them) chats with us about what lead them to go to school to become a therapist, window-shopping gender, and why everyone thought they'd be a nun. Jay asks us to come up with a new child's book, and this one is gonna be a HIT.
Arielle (she/her) chats with us about finding the right queer label for her, Trans Awareness Month, and her new blog Trans and Caffeinated. Jenn (and/or Jay!) puts her barista skills to the test.

Will (he/him) chats with us about bisexuality, coming out, and being an ally for others. Jenn puts Will and CJ to the test about bisexual musicians.
Having recently passed our 2-year birthday, Jenn and I return to the very first person we ever interviewed for this show to dish about Gender Feelings.
